Create 25 Blog Topics in Under 5 Minutes

I have already written about why you MUST be blogging!  Now you are asking me, "What can I write about!?".

​Here are some QUICK TRICKS to coming up with blog topics.

1. ASK in LOCAL Facebook Groups
   Go to your favorite FB groups and post a question like this:
   
   "I'm a lactation consultant and I'm starting up a blog. If I could answer ANY question you have, related to breastfeeding, what would it be?"
   
   "I'm a massage therapist and I'm starting up a blog.  Please post your burning questions about massages.  It could be on the benefits, self-massage, massage oils, etc.)"
   
   Of course, before you post, make sure you are not breaking any group rules.  Most groups will allow you to post such a question as long as you are not promoting yourself.
   
   
2. ASK in your peer to peer Facebook Groups
   Are you a doula or a health coach?  Go to your favorite, peer to peer group and post something like this:
   
   "Hi All!  I'm going to be adding a blog to my website and am looking for topic ideas. What are some of the most common questions you get asked?"
   
   
3. ASK on your personal Facebook Page
   Yup, see what your network of friends say!
   
   
4. Look through all of the customer emails you have received.  
   You will probably notice that your customers ask you the same questions again and again. Anything that is a common question is a great blog topic!

I guarantee that it will take you less than 5 minutes to apply tactic 1, 2, and 3.  I am also pretty sure that the Facebook community will provide you with way more than 25 topics.

Tactic 4 is a little more complicated so only resort to it if 1-3 come up short.

PRO TIP: When posting to Facebook, consider the best time to post.  I personally avoid posting on the weekends and on holidays. If many of your clients are parents, avoid school drop of and pick up times and instead post around 9am and after kids' bedtimes.
