Let's chat about a common mistake many businesses make via their social media — the constant sales pitch. To make a real impact and connect with your audience, you instead need to find that sweet spot between giving, engaging, and selling.
Imagine scrolling through your feed and being bombarded with non-stop sales pitches. Exhausting, right? So, diversify your content strategy by sharing educational, engaging, entertaining, and occasionally promotional posts. 🧠 Educate: Share insights, tips, tutorials, and how-to guides. Position yourself as an expert, offering real value to your followers. 🗣️ Engage: Build relationships by asking questions, hosting polls, and running contests. Create a sense of community, and your engagement levels will skyrocket. 😄 Entertain: Share fun content, anecdotes, or behind-the-scenes glimpses of your business. Use storytelling to connect with your audience on a personal level. Now, let's talk about selling. Promote your products or services in moderation—about one out of every 10-15 posts (really). Highlight new products, special offers, or limited-time promotions, but space them out. By using this strategy, your audience is more likely to trust you and engage with your posts; your posts that are providing value! By giving, engaging, and entertaining you'll create a loyal following and the social media algorithms will LOVE you for this. If the algorithms see that your followers are loving your posts, the platforms will be more likey to show those "sales pitches". So, mix it up! Create a content calendar that balances educating, engaging, entertaining, and selling. Be consistent and authentic and you'll be rewarded. |
